Response to Freedom of Information request for the protocols regulating travel by Palestinians through the Allenby Bridge border crossing
October 9, 2012
On September 3, 2012, Gisha requested that the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) provide the protocols regulating travel by Palestinians into and out of the West Bank via the Allenby Bridge border crossing. The request was filed pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act 5758-1998. On October 9, 2012, Gisha received a response from the COGAT Public Liaison Officer, enclosing the “Protocol for Travel by Gaza Residents through the Allenby Crossing”. The response did not provide all the information sought in Gisha’s Freedom of Information request, referring only to Palestinians whose registered address is in the Gaza Strip. We plan to request supplementary information as well as the protocols relating to travel through Allenby Bridge by Palestinians with registered addresses in the West Bank.Related Documents
