The Supreme Court rejects state’s appeal; orders it to release “red lines” document indicating minimum caloric intake required for survival of Gaza’s residents
September 5, 2012
The Supreme Court rejected the state’s appeal against the judgment of the District Court in AP 2744/09. The District Court had instructed the state to provide Gisha with a document known as “the red lines presentation”, which indicates the minimum caloric intake required for the survival of Gaza’s residents. The Supreme Court held that despite the fact that the document in question was a draft, the state had shown no cause for refraining from disclosing it.The court also ordered the state to pay costs in the amount of ILS 25,000, in addition to the ILS 12,000 in costs ordered by the District Court.
