Following a petition filed by Gisha, the Civil Administration pledges to publish some 80 new procedures

May 17, 2015

Following a Freedom of Information petition filed by Gisha to have all Civil Administration operating procedures made public (AP 68189-12-14 Gisha v. Civil Administration in the West Bank (Hebrew)), the Civil Administration has pledged to publish some 80 procedures of public interest. According to the notice given by the Civil Administration (Hebrew), the procedures will be published in four sets, throughout June, July, August and September of 2015.

The Civil Administration has also pledged to have the procedures translated into Arabic and to make the translations available to the public between four and six weeks after the publication of each set of procedures.

Gisha has asked the court to leave the petition pending until the publication of the last set and its translation, in order to make sure the Civil Administration fulfills its undertaking to publish the procedures according to the above-listed schedule. The court has granted the request.
