Today, Captain Hussam Daghash, public communications officer with the Office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, provided the criteria and quotas that apply to travel by Gaza Christians during the Easter holiday. According to Captain Daghash’s response, 500 Christians were permitted to exit, provided they were older than 35 and had security clearance. It should be noted that Captain Daghash’s response was received more than six weeks after the holiday, which was celebrated on April 8, 2012. The late response comes despite the fact that Gisha sent its request for the information ahead of time, on March 27, 2012. The request was sent both to the assistant to the minister of defense and the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.
