1.4 Million Young People

Did you know that seventy percent of the population in Gaza, 1.4 million people, are under 30 years old? Half of the Strip’s two million residents, living under closure, are children. They are Gaza’s hope, its future. They need to be able to exercise their fundamental right to freedom of movement in order to realize their dreams and immense potential. Watch a new clip by Gisha, filmed by 21-year-old Asmaa El Khaldi in Gaza and released today to mark Human Rights Day, and learn more about the lives of young people in the Strip.
