COGAT’s response to a request under the Freedom of Information Act for information regarding entry of students from the West Bank for academic studies in Israel

On September 2, 2012, Gisha received a response to its July 7, 2012 request to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories under the Freedom of Information Act. The response was issued by the official charged with responding to FOIA requests at COGAT. In its request, Gisha asked for the procedures, criteria and considerations employed by the authorities with respect to allowing students from the West Bank to enter Israel for the purpose of academic studies and some related statistics. An update containing the information that has been provided and an analysis of this information will be posted on the website next week.
